Schools
The beautiful setting of Wassand Hall is the ideal place for an outdoor school visit, where many of the requirements of the National Curriculum can be met through fun and challenging activities.
Our secluded estate has woodlands, natural ponds, a stumpery and a bird hide overlooking Hornsea Mere. It attracts a huge variety of birds, animals and insects that can be found, spotted, identified and classified. The Arboretum is home to over seventy interesting trees including three Champion trees, mature specimens and younger saplings. They provide an excellent resource to inspire children’s imagination and questioning skills.
The sessions led by our qualified teacher cover Science, Geography, Literacy and Maths. They can be differentiated and adapted to suit children of different needs within the primary age range. Our aim is to deliver courses which are memorable, inspirational and relevant to the School Curriculum. We hope you’ll join us for an adventure.
